Think you missed the point, Brett :P

It sure is for them :P

Yes.

Might be worth asking Josh about the 86 sales numbers. As far as I can tell they are 'selling themselves'.

There won't be any figures until mid next month... will keep a close eye on it though!

Had absolutely appalling service last night at the restaurant.

Plus the lobster I ordered with my steak was burnt rubber. When we complained. Our waitress said she wouldn't have brought it out of she saw it.

Why the Posted Image did the chef send it out in the first place??? Got it taken off the bill.

Requested to order drinks. The chick said, yeah I'll just get your server. 15 mins later, she comes an takes the order. Then the drinks come 3/4 of the way through the meal.

We got 2 drinks each the whole night because of the time it took to order. We were there for nearly 2.5 hrs.

No tip was left. She even tried fishing for one saying, so just that amount?

Service in and around Sydney in hospitality is for the most part Posted Image'ing appalling, Should be mandatory that they work in Melbourne for a year prior to starting here to learn to not be self righteous arseholes.

No I got your point. I just chose to point out that not everyone sees cash payment as the be all and end all.

Yes I saw your post about the paint. My comment still stands. With the amount of time Ive spent correcting paint, I feel pretty confident making this statement. Its not being a smart ass.

Sig worthy.

1) If they call it 'lobster' on the menu, leave immediately

2) When a floor staff cannot take a drinks order as well as food - it is infuriating, because generally the female is on the floor, and the bar attendant will be a bloke, so they fuckin' chit chat for fifteen minutes while putting in the order.

3) Where was it?

4) Tipping is NOT NECESSARY in Australia. A tip should be considered a very special thing, not something that is expected. She obviously got paid plenty enough without tips, otherwise she would realise that most cash flow profit is made from alcohol sales.

I could go on, but I'd bore you. But it SHITS ME TO DEATH when nice people go out for a treat to a restaurant and they don't get the service they deserve.

Should come to MDSC and see what customer service is all about!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

He has no idea what he's talking about, Josh. Just ignore him. It's like that fuckin' Jason clown trying to tell people about mechanics... haha! What a knobjockey!

Nik, It was at outback steakhouse. No fancy restuarant. But still. All up the mains were ~$50 each. Plus drinks, entrees. It's a sizeable bill.

It shouldn't matter where you eat, you should be able to at least expect service. This chick was a miserable wench, almost to the point of me getting up and saying something. (I don't like confrontation and normally let shit slide)

This is why I Posted Image'ing hate dining out and would rather cook for friends at home.

I know tipping isnt nescesary, but her parents usually tip generously. They said this is only the second time they haven't!

I only tip when I get friendly, on time service!

Doyles in Sydney call it lobster, it is pretty damn nice though! but what they are serving are crays.

Should come to MDSC and see what customer service is all about!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Or as I suggested, they work in Melbourne for a year for training.

I am glad that I have enough restaurant experience to know when to, and not to, tip someone for the service received.

A very important thing to note, if you are tipping the FOOD not the service, you should always tell the head of the floor that the tip is intended for the kitchen, not the floor. It's usually met with a smile.

Argh. It shits me so much, Adam. Shits me.

@BlueTextWanker: Doyles is obviously importing Lobster, so I don't care how nice it is, Australian Crayfish is better. Wanna fight about it?

Look at the time!

Yep. :P

What makes you think they are importing Lobsters and not selling Crays as Lobster?
Last time I was at Doyles (I go there a few times a year) I got the seafood platter and the "lobster" was a painted crayfish (not that I will complain as you already pointed out, Crayfish are Posted Image'ing win)

If you and your missus come here at some stage, we will show you real service. Go to Melbourne, you can go to a fuckin' service station and get a smile. Everywhere else is BULLSHIT.

PEOPLE WONDER why people aren't spending money, why don't you MAKE THEM FEEL GOOD ABOUT DOING SO? YOU FUCKIN' IDIOTS!?!?!?!?! IF THEY DON'T SPEND MONEY THEN YOU DON'T HAVE A JOB FUUUUCCCKKKK THE sense of entitlement in hospitality workers is so disturbing it's grating on my brain.

Because Lobster and Crayfish aren't the same thing?

Ive only eaten it once (last night) and, like I said. Burnt Rubber.

1) Crayfish is nicer cold

2) If it's imported, then it's probably farmed/shit

3) Come to MDSC and I'll cook you up a Cray

ALSO

MARRON >>>>>>>>>>>>>>> CRAYFISH
