I think this convertible is a factory special order.

He's had it since the new M3 came out. I doubt he would have resprayed or wrapped straight after he picked it up.

I meant the 1M - an M3 can indeed be ordered from BMW in Dakar Yellow if they go through the 'Individual division'.

Nik, Dakar Yellow isn't an "individual Option" it is a standard paint colour (on the M3's)

nah stock choice on the current M3 I checked the BMW docs. M3's no longer have optional colours, only Individual option available on the current M3's is a 16 speaker high end audio system

Unless you buy the M-car, Dakar Yellow is an I-opt.

Or depending on where it's built!

Leipzig is not able to do Individual orders yet, but this may change some day in the future (so models produced there, such as the 1M coupe are not able to be ordered currently with Individual colors or options).
