so today i took it onto the freeway and 10min in and i look and its creeping 3/4, then in less than 1min it goes to that dotted part, i go into the no u turn area and see coolant pissin out of the reseviour. I had no water and it was practically pitch dark so i waited and slowly went back towards sydney and guage went back up to the top in no time but i found a stop area. waited a few min with bonnet open and then back onto the freeway. i kept it in 3rd gear, keeping the rpms up kept it stable. made my way to hornsby and found a servo, poured lots of water onto the radiator, turned on the heater and used 2nd and 3rd gear on my way home, i'm glad it got me home
but i need to know what i can do so that this doesn't happen again. About 2 months ago i gave it a full service incl water pump and thermostat. i dono wat to do now, what can i do?
cheers
Take it to a mechanic if you don't know what to do with it.
