Thats hectic. I've heard good things about that gastric band surgery. A guy I knew done it, and dropped like 40kgs in similar time adam.

Downside is that he can only demolish half a steak at any one time before being full.

I put up with people from amnesty, red cross and now the cancer council almost daily hounding me!! Throw in the greens, green peace, unhcr, save the forking children and I've well and truly hit my limit for the number of fuckstains wanting me to sign something or give money. Seriously cubts,  :fork: right off.

Shaz, it's only a downside for those people who could eat one and not put on weight! ;)

WHAT!?

Lap band?

Cashed up.

I put a twenny that he'll bounce back weightwise.

Weightloss is in the head. Not in the stomach.

I don't actually know what it is that they do etc, but I am assuming that it isn't a permanent solution?

Took a few years to save up for it, Alex. Obviously diet and exercise would have also worked. But hey, whatever, if it works, it is a great benefit to his health!

@Josh, I thought it was permanant, but it is basically a band that makes your stomach smaller so you feel full quicker and eat less.

Am I right, Alex? And can the stomach just grow again?

He's still morbidly obese, so he's not out of the woods yet.

It is reassuring to loose bulk weight in little time, but when you loose weight rapidly, it increases the incidence of relapse.

Slow and steady has shown to yield better long term results.

Lap bands - basically a big elastic band around your stomach. So you eat less to feel full.

I've seen too many of these fail. And at $15k a pop, I don't believe it's worthwhile surgery.

Just put the twinkies down, go for a walk, and stop being a fatkent.

almost two years now since I've lost 30kg. My heaviest I've ever been, however, was 135kg. Now: 75kg. Plan to shed 5kg by summer.

A guy I worked with bought an excercise bike, and went hard for 30mins every afternoon when he got home.

Dropped some serious weight within a year, and is now fully into bodybuilding. I think he dropped around the 40kg mark.

I only drive a lowly stock standard Subaru Liberty GX, with a pollution airpump that's shit itself from Morgan's forester whilst gutterbouncing trying to replicate flutters from previously mentioned Gen3 (because he wears tight jeans and secretly masturbates to Skrillex).

...interesting

If you shaved half your head and wore thick glasses, you could pass as a Skrillex fan.

I was merely borrowing your dead air pump.

Haha you can have it if you want! I have no use for it...

Skrillex?

Cannot tell you enough how much vomit extracts itself from the depths of my digestive system whenever I hear Skrillex.
