The Gillard government is split on whether Australia's mining boom is over in the wake of the shelving of BHP Billiton's $30 billion expansion of the Olympic Dam mine.

The iron ore is still under there, not going to disappear any time soon.
BHP aren't stupid, waiting for prices to rise and then BAM expand it then.

I agree with you Walts, Olympic Dam though is Copper, Uranium, Gold and Silver. things are not growing at the pace that they were, but they are still growing and I do think they will for a bit yet

Not happy with Julia today either.
Elec bill came through for the last quarter. Since Nov 2010, we've only cracked the $200 mark once or twice and it was only by 3 or 4 $.
This time, it's $407.37.
Carbon tax can eat my bum hole.

How do you compare elec uses in this game? I would beat Rach because she is a Uni bum and home more than I

Nah it all gets sent to dad. He just emails me the bill for the flat and I pay him.
