Hahahaha.

The head of the AOC has come out saying it's the lack of funding from the federal govt. that caused australia not to win gold medals.

http://www.abc.net.a...funding/4179506

Ugh i could ramble on for forking days about this stuff.

I blame the lack of a liberal government for Australia not winning any medals.
Our Olympians are embarrassed to be seen representing a country whose PM is female version of Ronald McDonald.

this probably accounts for other countries becoming better. The yanks will always be powerhouse, because they have all their college sport programs. China has chucked a shitload of money into sport.
There is also a lot of quality aussie coaching staff working for other countries now. Im guessing its because they have been offered more money to do so.

Sig worthy.

Hasn't australia got something like 20 odd medals?? Its not bad. FFS its really shitting me all this negativity that is being thrown at our competitors. If you were a young aspiring athlete why would you give up so much of your life for the sport if all you're going to get is "why didn't you win gold?" Hardly setting us up for the future if you ask me.

Sig worthy.

Agreed, Brett.

There was one chick the other day defending herself for saying se was proud of her efforts that got he silver.

Also, Josh. I've decided more sport in schools is a good thing. Rach is studying to be a PE teacher!

I agree. They should be commended for their efforts, not critiqued for their failure.

Getting a medal isn't a failure though.. it's a placing :D.

I understand people are shocked because we have less gold than we got for the last few years (a lot less) and that North Korea and New Zealand and Kazakhstan have more gold than us, but we can't always win the lot.

Gaming mice are pricey though aren't they?

Might just get a $30 wireless mouse and see how long the batteries last.

Cable mouse is giving me the shits!
