Hey all.

Nigel here. Thought I would join up on here as oz lib has pretty much stalled.

Brought myself a damaged Outback late 2011, So below are a time line in picture.

Car is stock 2.5L engine. De-lifted with RX struts etc. Dual range gearbox has been replaced with an RS turbo item with matching LSD. Recently put some Billies in the front to balance the ride height.

Sound system comprises of mostly older alpine gear. 6.5" splits in the front and 6.5" 2 way in the back. Alpine MP3 CD, Audioline Amp and Jaycar Response 12" sub.

Cheers

After a bit of dis-assembly found the reason why it wouldn't run.

A few progress pics. Half the interior out, and cleaned, ready for re-assembly. Some parts are hanging around to dry out a little.

In progress...

Yeah mate,
She went for a summer swim. Did not go so well. :scratch_one-s_head:

New purchase completed today. e-manage ultimate. I don't really need it yet but might come in handy later down the track. :yahoo:

Not planning to lower it. I have to come at the drive at an angle now. plus it is quite comfortable. I will add a larger rear swaybar to it later. But that will be all on the handling.

Needs to double as family hack, not a track warrior.

Did not take pics of the carbon fiber wrap sorry. It is not as good as it looks, but the trick is heat. Hair dryer works a treat. It is already beginning to come off in places.

On other unrelated work, fitted up a greddy e-manage because I could and I got it cheap. Hacked a spare ecu and loom up and made a "plug in" arrangement. Forgot to take a pic of the finished product though. Early days yet but it is pretty clever bit of kit. Once I figure it out I am thinking of dropping some 440cc injectors on and tuning for e85! E-manage enables multiple inj and ign maps changeable on the unit itself with some tiny toggle switches. So if i need to flick back for normal fuel it can be done without the need for a laptop (once the tunes are stored!)

Also got around to removing most of the badges. Only one left being the one that has holes behind it! All my indicators have been clear lenses and chrome/amber globes for minimum colours. Touch ups done on a million chips and the car now looks pretty clean. Will re-do the front bar soon as well.
dirty phone pics atm, better ones to come:
