edit: beaten by Tim haha

Gearbox
Tail Shaft
Rear Diff (if ratio is different)
Drive Shafts (again depending on the the box you go with)
Clutch
Flywheel
Manual Pedal Box
Master and Slave Cylinder
Manual Shifter
Center Console Surround
Gear Boot
Shift Knob
Manual Cross Member
Starter Motor

Pretty sure the gen 3 uses a separate TCU so using the standard ECU is ok?

Just as a reference for future people interested, Aek, how much did yours end up costing and how much labour did you do yourself?

I have just done this conversion. It is not a small task by any means.

I would strongly recommend you reconsider this conversion if cost is an issue.

What I did was keep an eye out for a stat write off. They usually go for $3000 - $4000 and you will have most of what you need for the conversion with heaps left over to sell & make it cheaper. That's if you are mechanically minded and able to do the conversion yourself. You'll end up paying around the same or more at a shop.

Or sell it & buy one with a manual box.

In my liberty I used MY03 WRX (non STI) parts. I think if I remember correctly (which I probably don’t haha) it cost me around $2500 for everything required for the conversion.

You can do it yourself if you have tools, space and a bit of knowhow or help from someone who does. If you’re getting a shop to do the conversion they’ll most likely quote you for a 2 day job (can be done in a day but generally they'll want the car for a couple of days) so will probably charge you anywhere from $1300-$2300 drive in and drive away.

wow not what i wanted to hear :(

i would be doing it on my own with a friend who is a mechanic so that would save some money there

i love my outback to much to sell it(i couldnt afford to buy another one anyway a 2000 limited like mine still goes for $7500 with 100k on the clock)

so for now i think ill just save up money and do the motor work and tranny at the same time
