DIY: Getting rid of the airbag light after WRX seat install

Tools and equipment used:
3.3 ohm resistors
Air bag plugs
Soldering iron and solder
Wire cutters
Wire strippers
Stanley knife
Heat shrink
Lighter
I went to the wreckers and picked up some airbag plugs off a Suby in the yard. Cost $10 for two of them and it beats hacking up my stock ones as I'll probably put them back in my car when the time comes to sell.
Resistors were bought at Jaycar for about 40c (for a pack of two).
Using Stanley, I cut and peeled back the condute piping, then exposed the wires then put heat shrink over each wire.
Soldered the exposed wires onto the resistor. Both pos and neg are yellow cables... Took a punt and it doesn't seem to matter which is which?
Pulled the heat shrink up and fixed it to the joints as well as the rest of the exposed resistor.
Plugged it back into the car and the airbag light magically went away!
Will obviously need to be done for both driver and passenger seats.
Easy, simple and effective
Cheers

If this sounds way to complicated just remove the globe from the dash panel! LOL

Nice.
SRS code will still be in the SRS module. Just clear it next time a scan tool gets hooked up.
If I told you I was a compulsive liar, would you believe me?

Morgan, you need to lock this thread.
Admin, can you sort this shit out?
I like to think of it as borrowing someone's car and driving it better than them.

Airbags are sensor driven. If they detect impact, they deploy.
