Found a momo wheel on a H6 Outback today at the wreckers. Its the leather/woodgrain type. Would this fit on my 2001 RX. Also, how much do these things go for?

Gen3 RX? If so will fit no problem. Bought one for my Outback earlier the year and paid $165 posted.

It'll fit.
It's worth as much as the wrecker wants, but I'd not pay more than $150

Thanks. I got quoted $150, but the wrecker has 2. Lets hope he wants to get rid of one cheaper.

How hard are these things to put on? With the airbag, etc? Mine is absolutely hammered (leather Momo), but i'm too scared if I change it that my airbag will never work again! Lol

The air bag is just connected by a plug on the back. Disconnect your battery, wait a few minutes, remove wheel and install the replacement. Easy job

If you have basic skills with tools and understand that SRS systems are not to be worked out without major caution. You will be fine.

Disconnect battery, Hit brake pedal to discharge all modules and systems (SRS system holds a small charge, Even with the battery disconnected), Undo the airbag module itself (Carefully) Insuring not to damage any connections or wires, Make a match mark on the steering wheel, nut and spline coming from the steering column, Undo nut (Not all the way) Wiggle steering wheel back and forth while giving it a small pull until it breaks free, Install everything you took apart and make sure the steering wheels straight and on tight.

Not hard! :)

Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm. Sounds easy enough, It's not like I am not mechanically minded. Just fear working with the Air Bag! :P

Now, to find a new-looking Momo :)

But, unless you're Aek, he charges stupid amounts for stuff haha.

I like to think of it as borrowing someone's car and driving it better than them.
