That seems a bit low for a GX, Camerous! I get those figures in my XT from week to week and easily 550-600 in my 2.5 Outback...

Are you measuring your fuel usage by using the refilling method?

Fill your car to the max. Drive for a day and then refill to the max again. Note down the fuel used during that day and use that for your sums. You may find that the gauge isnt a good way to measure fuel and you can also measure your different driving styles or other variables.

Ah yes. The good ol' Gen 2 fuel gauge! The fuel light will come on when there is 9L left in the tank which is about 100kms.

ah so the fuel guage could be stuffed? cause it says it empty and the fuel light came on when i started my car then went off when i was going down the street, and last time before it was "empty" the light had not come on, but the needle was under empty haha, but it still cost 70 bucks to fill up so i guess it was empty?

Go by litres rather than price ;)

Do you park on an angle or slope?

Sometimes the sensor can get a dud reading if you're on a slope - might explain the light turning off as you started driving?

So today me and my mate had bit of a look when I start the car up like well this morning on a cold motor I can smell petrol inside of the car so I figured its running rich anyway he went to and put his head near the muffler and said it doesn't smell like its running rich from the and then we checked out the ac vents and the smell we are pretty sure is coming from there?
