hi all

basically my outback is still apart, and still doesnt have an engine, everything is done in the car, but i am thinking about doing is changing the box in the car, unfortunately my misses refuses to drive manual, so a manual conversion (for now is out of the question) but i am thinking about changing to a gen4 5 speed auto box

i just need to know if anyone has any experience with putting the gen4 box into a gen3..? is the wiring the same? im pretty sure that the shifter is set up is the same if not similar.. but just need to know if its at all possible as gen4 auto boxes are pretty damn cheap
