Anyone else's doing this?

Seems like it's from the gasket, not the valve itself.

Also, shitty all alloy radiator plug is shitty.

Had my coolant in and out of my car 3 times before I found the right seal that held that stupid green liquid in!

Also my oil pump is leaking slowly and I think my gearbox is too.

/rant.

Jeebus Tom, couple leaks mate?!

Aside from tightening the fumoto a bit more (mines in pretty farking tight lol), you can try removing it and replacing the gasket with an OEM crush washer... They say thats an option in the instructions?

You sure its the fumoto though? And not a leak from elsewhere running down to it?

Oil pump is a bit harder, requiring the crank seal and an o-ring :(

Gearbox n radiator..i dunno...ive never opened that drain plug for that very reason, i just pull the bottom hose

I was thinking about using a new oem crush ring. That might be a goer next oil change.

Yep, oil pump sounds like a job for someone else. :(

I felt like welding up the drain hole after a day of trying various shitty seals.
Who needs one anyway? Pulling the bottom hose is much more effective. ;)

Not good man. I had a bit of leakage around my Fumoto when I first installed it but it wasn't tightened enough. Got a spanner onto that bad boy and it's been good for 15k+ kms!

Tighten fumoto valve or replace crush washer.

PTFE sealant on thread of radiator bung and forget about opening it forever. Or take it to a radiator shop and get them to weld it up and just drain from the bottom hose in future.

Replace oil pump.

Replace leaking gearbox seals.

No more leaks.

PM me a mailing address tom and i'll send you a few genuine crush rings if you want. About a year ago i did a big stock up oil filters UEC and got heaps of spare crush rings since i got the fumoto now.

You could probably get away with silastic if you have any in the shed.just check the temp rating.

Nar, It's alright mate! Thanks anyway.
Next oil change just going to go a genuine oil filter that comes with a crush ring. :)

That reminds me, I should stock up on some more UEC too!

Because.. car..

Mines got a slow leak from the passenger rocker cover and I am not sure if the gearbox/front diff is leaking or its just simply the fact that I hit and missed when I did the front diff a while back in the dark... just some 'wetness' in those areas. I wiped them and have driven for 5000k's with not a single Posted Image. Service is coming up soon heh.

Leaking pretty bad there though!
