Hey guys.

Well simple question. I had planned on using the alloy swing arms off my half cut on the Gen 3 but it dosent seem like they fit.. The hindge part seems to be 1 cm wider than the gen 3 one.. The parts inside the STI alloy ones can actually come apart.. so do i need to swap them out ?

This is the part im talking about.

Thanks guys

I know you can put them in, Matt has them in... I think you need GC8 ones best to double check with him or his build thread http://www.subyclub....e-story-so-far/

I used a grinder and ground down the bush, search my 3rd tine lucky thread and you'll see in that. They also will give you extra track. So you'll need to adjust your tie rods to suit. I've heard some people say you need longer ones, as there isnt enough thread to be safe. So check that out.

only if its a gen320psi brah.

Use GC8, not GDB.

rotate rear most mount for more castor (inevitably more dynamic camber)

rattle gun is good fun in removing bolts. or are you refering to the ball joint?

Whiteline/Nolathane/Super Pro etc etc make different size bushes for that arm.
Or like Mark said, chop that shit.

You need these "Boss-transverse link" that slip on the ball joint... But you should have them anyway with the half cut

THe ones that came off the half cut where a little threaded.. I had to lever and turn the ball joint to get it off the arm..

SO is the ball joint different on the STI to the Gen 3 ? I tried to get the gen 3 ones out to compare but couldn't get it out the arm.. therefor my question about removing them ? I tried the hammer but didn't wanna dmg the thread

Ball joints are the same...

Loosen the castle nut but leave it on... Get a big mallet, not hammer and wack the control arm near the ball joint... Then get a long ass crowbar or bar and wedge it under the subframe and over the control then jump on it... Should pop out then one u do that, undo the bolt that holds the the ball joint in the hub... Then back on the crowbar/wedge and jump on it again

Mine lasted quite a few times. If you only have to do it twice, $30 is worth it ;)
