Im wondering is any body is running a rwd set up with my04 wrx gear box and stock rear diff? if so have they had any problems with the strength of the diff holding the power?
or are most rear subaru rear diffs weak? in this application?
would the h6 be stronger more like the r160 ?
any input would be great?

A welder is your friend. Clutch dumps will kill your rear diff though. A mate of mine did this in a 92 gx wagon. Welded centre diff, stock rear diff(so no lsd). Took a fair beating, but ultimately blew the rear diff. was just replaced and good to go. :) Mind you, this beating included clutch kicks, dumps, stand stills etc. Loads of fun, ridiculous in the wet, especially with turbooooooo.

Will be interesting to see the path you take. :)
