engineers cert illawarra area???

hey guys got my rexy modified got a full through exhaust system the db limit is 90db and my rex measured at 86db do i need a engineers cert for it? or would it be beneficail to have a cert? also got a bigger turbo just don't want trouble from the police where is the best place to get it done?? and how much am i looking at???

The exhaust is a user certified modification. So you don't need an engineers cert for it. The turbo is also i THINK, but you may wish to confirm this. Provided it is factory, It should be sweet.

you'll be fine with those mods tom. if you have an aftermarket bov, even plumback, you'll need a certificate then. (i wouldn't bother with a certificate for just that, however....)

EPA and police are dumb as all fark when it comes to mods like that, no copper is gonna know what size turbo should be on there.

i was going to use him. but i know a bloke that got done by cops and they said that they are trying to shut him down. don't know the exact reson why though

what type od wagon you got. i prob would of seen you around

He did my mates 13bt 808, from what I hear there's no way to legally stick a 13bt in an 808 due to the weight. Had to get a printout from the weighbridge, nothing a few gym plates in the boot can't fix.

Otherwise he's pretty thorough and my mate had to do a fair few things to get his car engineered.

you cant legally put a 13bt in an 808, but south coast rotary have gotten around this by maching off the 13b of the housings and remachining 12a into them, sorta like us maching off the ej25 and putting ej2o on if you get what i mean
