I can't just rip up my parents yards... When I get my own place I will.

You could if you want.

You could ask - surely they would love fresh home grown stuff to eat?

They would, but not after the money they spent getting the landscaping done.

Hi,

Worm or more like aphid? Worms and aphids will both love coriander.

A spray of confidor will do it, but I don't know about spraying onto herbs/wait times.

Cheers,

Nik

I'm thinking snails? There seems to be some silvery trails left behind. Parsley is killing it though. Tripled in size in 3 weeks.
Also my chilli plant is getting munched too.

Sig worthy.

Sounds like snails.

Unused coffee works great for snails.

I'm dubious of salt

Are you talking used coffee grinds? because I could do with a useful way of disposing those.

Sig worthy.

Hi,

You can use used, less effective, but for the first perimeter mix in some salt.

It's the caffeine that is the repellent.

Cheers,
Nik

Snails or slugs if the silvery trail is there.

Salt dehydrates them but doesn't deter or repel them whereas caffeine does. Is that right Nik?

Hi,

Salt will kill, but not repel.

Correct, Mary.

Cheers,

Nik

Hi Growing thread.

I've had a good run growing some nice grass in my sandy backyard. I started with only 3 clumps of grass about a foot square each.

Roped off to keep the old mutt from shitting all over it.

I trained this bit around the corner about 2 weeks ago.

My pot plants which are all rescued dying plants or cuttings. Starting to go nuts with the weather.

Wish me luck with the grass  ;)

Nice Boss!

Brett, you sure it isn't caterpillars? those cubts have been relentless lately on my stuff, they have been munching chillies/parsley/corriander - anything they can get near the fucks, takes me ages to find them some times too because they are the same colour green as the leaves they are eating. So annoying!

Looking good Boss.

If you lived closer by I would tell you where all the stockpiles of top soil, mulch, etc, are from work. Ha ha.
