my mate has blown his auto gear box in his 01 wrx up and were trying to find a new one or fix the old one?
my question is there a difference in the the clutches between non turbo and turbo?
and can we uese another model subaru 4eat box? liberty outback etc.
the car will move when cold but once hot constantly slips and wont drive in any gears.
atf level is spot on and no leeks car is stock....?????
any help would be great!!

Just go for an aftermarket heavy duty clutch kit and pressure plate.
Yes, you could use non turbo gear, but it won't last.

U need one with the same ratio as the rear diff...
When I was tryin to find out for my box the WRX boxes arent the same ratios as the Foz

Well... That's a different kettle of fish.
Is it an electrical problem or has he literally blown the whole internals apart?
With the autos it's sometimes easier to get a complete refurbished replacement transmission instead of replacing individual parts.

Nope I think it a bigger problem than that it was going fine till one day it just stoped the transmission fluid was done 10, 000 kmago along with filter
