I'm trying to figure out why my brake lights don't work in my Gen 3 wagon.
It's not the globes, I've tried a few globes that I know work. The tail lights work, but the filament for the brakes won't light up.
The brake light bar in the rear window lights up though.
I've checked the fuses and they seem fine too.
Anyone have any ideas?
Thanks

It sounds like globes. Are you using the correct ones?
The fact that the center one is working means that the fuse and switch are ok.
You could try gabbing a test light, connect the lead to a good earth (like unpainted metal) and probe the two pins in the base of the globe socket. One will have power for parkers, the other has power for brakes. If thatchecks out ok and its definately not globes, you have an earth problem.

@ Jovi,
Dude, the OP mentioned the brake light bar lights up so I doubt it would be the switch.

Happened to me in a sedan.
It was a broken/cut wire.
Traced the loom back from the light and the break was before the junction where the wires for the spoiler light connects.
I dunno how it is on a wagooon but.....
something else to check i suppose
