They won't send to a PO box. Can I trust one of you to get it sent and then I'll pay for you to post to me?

PLEASE!?

As am I. Not a problem at all for me to do for you Nik.

If anyone is into Burberry watches this is a bargin

http://www.gumtree.c...atch/1028541006

On another note I scored this as engagement present from the inlaws... The picture doesnt do it justice but there is the typical Burberry pattern on the face. I know its not everyones taste but I like it..

Hi,

Not really, mate. I wouldn't pay $600 for a Burb watch. $300 at the most.

Cheers,

Nik

you don't need to pay that much for it Nik! http://www.ebay.com/...-Men-/141055156

the problem with pricing on watches from mid-range luxury clothing brands (from low too high for that matter) is that generally they all have their watches produced under licence (mostly by the swatch group). Because of this you have situations where you have a swatch day date movement that is “swiss made” and would retail for $100 AUD in a Swatch Classic Collection case put into a different branded case and then sold for $600 as it’s now a Calvin Klein item. In that instance IMHO the CK name doesn’t warrant a $500 premium and the same goes for many of the other fashion houses.

Fossel Watches also do a lot of licencing for brands such as Armani Exchange, Adidas, DKNY, Marc Jacobs, Emporio Armani, Michael Kors & Burberry. The same situation applies as the above with Swatch and CK. Fossil produces a Swiss Chrono movement that retails for $250 in their own vertical brand but put inside a Burberry case now has a RRP of $900.

just to note: there's no correlation between price and quality with these watches but that said, any licensed watch that comes from these agreements will be a quality piece, it's just that i don't think the rrp price is a fair reflection of the watch your getting

Wankers. They really should have waited and rewarded those that pledged, not the other way around.

^ So true.

But I sometimes like things just 'rocking up' - feels like a present.

If you forget about paying for it, it's like a little Christmas gift.

Cheers,

Nik

I still need to pick out my replacement watch.  I wonder if they are going to restrict me to Tissot.  Theyve said I can spend up to $600 retail.  Tissot arent making anything that really excites me in that price range though.

That watchpalooza link is awesome.  I think I want to go black case, black dial, black metal band...Id like it to be an everyday watch too.  I dont go out enough to justify a dress watch.

Sig worthy.
