Subaru has introduced a facelift for its Stella kei car in Japan.
The second generation of the Stella was introduced in May last year, but Subaru already has prepared a facelift for the small city based on the fifth-gen Daihatsu Move.
It has the same dimensions as before, measuring 3395mm long, 1475mm wide, 1620mm tall and with a 2455mm wheelbase. It has a front MacPherson strut and a rear torsion bar, with weight varying from 810 kg (1785 lbs) to 890 kg (1962 lbs), depending on level of equipment.
Power comes from a 658cc three-cylinder engine available in naturally-aspirated or turbocharged versions. They both have an output of 64 hp (48 kW), but the turbo reaches full power at 6,000 rpm while the regular version reaches it at 7,200 rpm.
As standard, the 2013 Subaru Stella facelift comes with stop/start system, ventilated front discs, revised rear suspension, restyled front fascia and additional equipment such as obstacle detection system.
