Yeah fair call! I would suggest looking somewhere that is not an N/A forester though, slow and not even good on fuel.

I was even thinking an old BMW.

But then I realised, Subaru is the only car I know and know how to fix easily. :D

Yup.

I sent him a huge email about everything about it, pros and cons. And I obviously sounded honest.
I offered to send him a video of it running etc. but he didn't worry.

He seems pretty clued up mechanically. He has an old Hilux, resprayed with an LS1 in it. And used to have a Gen 3 RX.

Then all he wrote back was this:
"Hi mate. I am heading to the bank 3pm tuesday 22nd. I will have funds asap.

Cheers, matty"

Hopefully he can actually get a loan approved and it goes through. :)

Buy a turbo forester. Fuel economy is nearly the same with real world driving.

And you get a car that isn't as painfully slow!

But he doesn't want to have the extra hassle that comes with the turbo motor!

Slow is fine. I've had my fun in my 3000kw B4. :D

I just want something that for once in my life I can go over a speed bump without scraping!!!

But he doesn't want to have the extra hassle that comes with the turbo motor!

Bingo.

NA's are pretty bulletproof. Apart from Gen 2's DOHC.

Tom plates are off.

Yeah your choice tommy tom tom tom. Buy what it is you like :D

Personally, other than a H6 I would not own an NA Subaru, buckets of shit.

I liked my old RX. I could do 5k launches all day everyday and nothing would break.

If I tried that in the B4, the whole world would implode!

NA Foresters are truly as slow as a wet week. And I don't mean a five day pussy party.

Yep, if you want N/A look at other Japanese manufacturers, most of them do a better version of a 4cyl than Subaru, more power, better fuel efficiency, often times easier and cheaper to work on.

I've met Josh heaps of times.

I am still waiting to realise that.

What other car makers make something similar to an Outback or a Forester? That's a similar price.
