The problem is, if they don't send out those sorts of messages, then something happens... they get torn to shreds by people saying where was the warning. Always someone else's fault. Then when they do send them out, and nothing happens, people get shitty because they changed their little life plans around it.

It's not too bad here, 28. But it's only 630... It rained a bit last night. but never got below 26.

I know people get a bit bored of hearing about the heat, but I swear this is just not normal for down here. It can be hot as an oven during the day for all I care, it's when it's hot all night and I can't sleep that I hate it. ALSO. How quickly do people get frustrated and narky when it's hot?

exactly right. pretty much doing it to cover their asses. but in weather like this, its a pretty fair call to make that there will be fires breaking out somewhere and things will get bad if they do.

i just walked out of my office into the yard and the heat is riddiculous. havent felt anything this bad weather wise in years.
