Hey guys,

Ive been on the forum for a little bit now, been to a couple cruises which are always a good day out!
I first came on here with a 01 RX LIB. But a few months ago begun a search to upgrade myself as i had been on full license for a couple years and thought it was time. Multiple options went buy from libs/foz/wrx. All i really wanted was a subaru but a newer model, and a tad more power.

So up came this beauty. 1 owner, older owner of that. low kms - 22000. Completely stock standard. 6 months rego. It was hard not to buy.
Since owning, i have put the STI wheels which i had previously. and the sound system is going in early next week.

From here, i havet really thought to much about what id like to do. Most likely start with the standard - Exhaust and lowering. From there, who knows what will happen.

But so far im loving the turbo.! Looking forward to getting to a couple cruises seeing what the other guys have done to there WRXs.

Check out the pics below!

Cheers!

Pretty immaculate looking WRX. Very nice buy man! Can't wait to see what you get done to it and hoping to make a meet to meet it as well. I have said it before and will say it again, I LOVE those rims. I can't wait to get a set for my Liberty. Might actually be the first thing on my list of 'modifications'. The modification bug is running rampage all over me but it hasn't quite bitten yet. Still recovering from the Christmas break and just getting back into work mode.

Wanting to buy/looking for: single genuine STi rim, genuine STi front lip, Corazon or Zero/Sports grille and another OEM grille

Can you hook a brother up? Please contact me now. I have cash ready.

I think those rims would suit any Suby. I'd buy them from anyone selling in a heartbeat.

So the fun part really did begin! I put a custom made TBE on it the other week. And I love it!
I'm looking at getting a EBC and a boost gauge. Should I be getting a tune after this is installed or get one now due to the new exhaust.
What's a general price of a tune ? Any recommendations in Sydney ?

no no no no no no no to EBC! use stock boost control via reflash.

autotech/pulse/msr.

exhaust/cooler/tune. 06 don't like TBE on stock tune, some have been known to cause knocking.

$800-1200 for tune.

Even keep the stock intercooler and grab a silicone y-pipe.

Buy a 3 port boost controller and fit it at the tuners. Grimspeed and Pierburg ones plug straight into the factory connector.

Earlier and smoother boost.

Get MSR to tune it, $800 is a small price to pay for the difference it will make.

So further to getting the TBE - i thought id take a few quick snaps while i had it up in the air as i hadn't got around to it. It sounds really good, doesnt drone at all. So happy with the way it goes. When your cruising it shuts right up. Can hardly here it, and then when you give it some, it really opens up. The welding job on it is amazing, sits nice and neat.

Once i had all those done, i was sick of the 'outback' kind of height. Got in contact with Ben at Ichiban - Fantastic service / price / everything! Gave me a run down of doing springs vs coilovers. Wasnt hard to choice the coilovers. He put me onto the BC's and it was a few weeks later i was out there getting them installed. I don't scrape to much. But everynow and then ill catch something. Just getting used to the ride height. Super happy with the performance of them. A little bumpy, but ehhh nothing uncomfortable at all.

Pre coilovers:

Post Coilovers: I will have to get a more side on shot.

I am off to MSR on Tuesday to get it tuned which im looking forward too.

From there, im looking at powder coating my wheels a different colour, or selling up and buying a new set. Further to that, i guess i could start looking at brake upgrades. But after the tune, ill leave it as is for some time to save some $$.

Thoughts and tips appreciated.

He is only down the road from MSR.

PLEASE let me be the first to know if you sell your Enkei's man. I'm strongly interested.

Very nice work on the ride so far though. Looking real good even with the angle of that pic. Get a pic of your car side on so we can get a better view though.

If I was to swap out the original TMIC and replace it with an STI. Would I require a re-tune ?

Looking at buying a front lip. Seem to set it off on every other car, so pretty keen to get one on.

Looking at new wheels - but so indecisive on what I want. Looking for something a little wider / darker.

Installed a boost gauge recently. Will get a photo up when I get a chance.
That's about all at the moment to keep it updated!
