Hi

So the engine mounts in my car are getting pretty sloppy after 120k's so I am going to replace them as well as doing the gearbox mount.

I am looking at the STI Group N mount kit from Car Mods Australia. Is it worth buying these instead of stock replacements? Is the difference really that noticeable?

Thanks

I'm taking my Grp N mounts out (engine & g/box) in a couple of weeks, don't need them anymore.

Anyone want them for $120 posted?

Hi,

Considering JC has ordered his, I guess this isn't fouling up the thread.

For a spastic like me, are 'sloppy' engine mounts what causes a more noticeable rocking of the engine on idle? Or could that by a myriad of things? The B4 used to have a noticeable wobble on her.

Cheers,
Nik

Mine is quite noticable on and off throttle. Especially when on and off boost.

Sloppy probably wasn't the best technical term I could have used.. Ah well.

Yes, my engine moves around way too much even when at idle.
Sometimes when I turn the car off you can actually feel and hear the engine/gearbox move.

Hi,

Haha, the less technical the better when talking to me, mate! But yes, that sounds like exactly what the B4 did. It was quite sexual whilst stopped at the lights.

Cheers,
Nik
