Did any off the Australian B4's come with VDC or is this another feature Australia cheaped out on?
I was flicking though the user manual and theres alota fetures that iv never seen on ADM models.
My friend asked if B4's where top of the line in its day, then why are there so many empty buttons.

Which is a good question that leads me to asking more about these models.

What was, and what wasn't fitted to the ADM B4, and what can i, and can not install using the factory wiring looms?
Im realy keen to install some JDM headlights with self adjusting but unsure if the wires are there.

Would love to have the VDC feature though :(

australia never get the top of the line subaru in any model

Have you put any more thought into squeezing some more power out of the engine. Like strapping on one of those intake fans

Compare your Liberty B4 to a Legacy RSK or GTB to see the differences between audm and jdm models

No VDC, no cruise, no HIDs, no rear wiper, no extra rear lights, no heated folding mirrors :(

You need to do a bit of splicing to get the jap lights in, there's a DIY on here somewhere.

Outback only I believe but correct me if I'm wrong. I don't understand why Subaru would put it on the outback but not the blisteringly powerful B4. I guess it cannot be tamed

IIRC it was the H6 OutBacks that got VDC.

Im pretty sure Shiv's has it.

If I told you I was a compulsive liar, would you believe me?

So not only Australia cheeped out on all the goochi equipment, instead they replace it all with the spectacular dual stage brant system thats theft and owner proof.

I was let down with the same problem with my S15 how we missed out on all the fancy equipment.

It's the same deal with the new lancer ralliart. Australia is the only country to not install Recaro seats but they sell it off at the same price as if it did have them in.

Why do they do this with everything ? Is it a way for them to make a quick buck?

No, the B4 didn't.

The Gen 3 Outback H6 Luxury pack definitely does have VDC.

Here's a cool vid of it working.

Like most things I'd say more a compromise to keep retail prices at an acceptable point and maintain solid profits for all parties. The cost of doing business in Australia is incredibly high, particularly since the market is a mere 25 million people.

Folding and heating mirrors is a common mod but plugs and wiring is not same...Hid's and self leveling can be done to a ADM B4 but no wiring is there at all.
Also there was a air purifier fitted to the JDM ones also some came with sat navigation and a different style A/c controls and the whole center console. As others have mentioned no cruise control VDC rear wiper and rear added brake lights and parking lights in the garnish...

Would love to have the VDC feature though :(

On a B4, I wouldn't miss VDC. Its good if you take your car on snow/ice or unsealed roads. But for all other driving conditions, its usefulness is limited.

Its a nifty little program though (as are all ESP-style programs).
