Which V8 is it mate? Used to have a 928S in the family, was a beast, but the driving position was horrid.


just an early 4.2ltr I believe (I haven't seen the car personally, it's a rust bucket but runs well)
The Golf will be track/strip only (although it will be registered, just no where NEAR legal) So, we'll weld in seat rails where we want them...
This is no over night project, but my buddy has been building a 61 Chev Belair Drag car (was 4 door, now pillarless 2door) over the last couple of years and has made some really good 'contacts' in that time.
Will be a hoot when done, motor will be slammed against the firewall, very minimalist bay and interior, exterior...same, same.

I put up with people from amnesty, red cross and now the cancer council almost daily hounding me!! Throw in the greens, green peace, unhcr, save the forking children and I've well and truly hit my limit for the number of fuckstains wanting me to sign something or give money. It really is. It's had a respray about 6 or 7 years ago in the original colour. Aaron had the rust cut out in the last 12 months. Has about 190k km on it from memory and he's the second owner. First owner is a distant relative who doesn't drive anymore!

Sounds awesome.The earliest 928's ran 4.5's and then stepped to I think 4.8 before going to the much loved 5.0DOHC, the GTS copped a 5.4 I think. They made the 928 for nearly two decades!!

We had the 5.0 928 S. Fun car. Bit scary!

It is a pretty mint car, has a few spots that were done a bit dodgy that needs to be fixed, but mostly good! (I see the car several times a week :P)

Scary is good when not on the street.
A friend's old man had about an 85 model 928 back in the day...1hr15mins runs from ACT to Dalmeny on the south coast...was about a 3hour trip in a normal car back then...
He ended up writing that off into a tree, at speed, after getting a little 'unsettled' over a single lane bridge on those old evil country highways...The bruise from his seatbelt was Legendary.
