Hi all new to the forum and have read around that there are no headers for a 2.0r dohc motor but there are for the 2.0i sohc.. I was wondering firstly why? Is it because of the sensors? If so so can the sensor input be customised to be put into a borla replica 2.0i sohc header and will they fit ? and will the engine light show?? Plz guys any help i can get before i bust cash in wrong areas cheers Matt

2.0R are equal length headers and wrap tightly around the sump - which is a completely different shape to the SOHC sump etc.

You do not want those headers, they WILL crack and WILL decrease the performance of your car.

Oh i see.. But with minor mods to the 2.5na borla header could i get it to fit? And am i able to weld in the new spot for the o2 sensor? And will the engine light come on if the headers are changed?

An exhaust shop would charge you the same amount to mod them as what they are worth.
Waste of time, effort and money to loose performance.

No idea if CEL will come on.

Here's pictures of the 2 exhaust set-ups.
Top is DOHC, bottom is SOHC. Nowhere near the same.

Ok thanks for all the help guys :) just which header would be best for the 2.0r i heard that the 2.5rs borla replicas can be modified to fit or i found these on ebay which would suit the undercarage and produce a better rumble have a look at the ebay item and if you could give an opinion id appreciate 300664174738
Thats the item number you can search

You would probably pay the same amount getting custom made headers as you would paying for the borla replicas then paying to get them modified

I didntt think they changed sizes. I had 2.0 wrx headers on a 2.5 liberty and didnt have a problem. As long as the bolt holes line up

Sweet as and you wouldnt happen to know anything about the sensors and were to place them on the 2.0r to prevent the engine light from coming on
