Cold start issue

Only started happening this weekend.
When you start the car:
- it takes its time to crank over
- car sounds like it's about to die and the whole car vibrates dramatically
- eventually goes back to normal, but it makes a loud gargling/screeching/sucking sound beforehand.
- dies
- crank it over again, starts normally, but still makes that gargling/screeching/sucking sound
**Edit: Also makes the noise when warm, but it's not that noticeable.
It sounds like the starter motor isn't disengaging properly, could anyone else confirm or could it be something else?
Cheers,
Stocky

I'm out of ideas, sorry
That's cool, haha. I'll have Ichiban check it out when they do some work on my car, hopefully this week
Just seeing if anyone can help me narrow it down, so they boys don't have to waste their time.

Leaking injector?
How do I test for this?

Hold the engine at a high idle speed, say 2500rpm.
Pull fuse/relay and wait for engine to stumble, try to keep it running for as long as you can (opening throttle) until it runs out of fuel.
Next morning, refit relay/fuse, turn on ignition (no crank) for a few seconds then off. Repeat a few times to build fuel pressure.
See how it starts.
If a injector is leaking, it will deliver fuel to the motor while the engine is off as the fuel system holds pressure via a one way valve in the pump.
This way fuel pressure is removed so the injector cannot leak and fuel pressure is built just before starting.
...or
Remove the injectors and have them cleaned, flow and leak tested.

Okay, thanks. I'll give this a go soon.
