Guess it was true.
Unfortunately with some significant old race cars there is discussion regarding the authenticity. I believe a few of these fall into that category.
Some people just can't accept a car for what they see in front of them.
.
My Commodore was nothing less than a trusty steed for the six years I had it.That moment when your mate buys a Holden
Interstate drives and towing capabilities were above both my Subarus.
Far simpler and cheaper to fix too.
This.Holdens are good. Just too many bogan wankers drive them.
Easy to get parts for too
If I told you I was a compulsive liar, would you believe me?

Hahaha I don't think you will get through to some of these youngens, they are still in a "OOo Subaru are the best and good at everything, anything else is crappy" phase.

Holdens are like an averagely good looking mentally stable wife.
Subarus are like a unhinged supermodel.

From what I understand (which isn't much) from old race cars, the biggest problem is they were there TO RACE, body panels being original or from a different car etc. - who gives a shit?
That's why the Audi Union was so hard to sell... ($16MM)

EDIT: I'd happily go old-school as well.. Torana GTR XU-1 and GTHO Phase 3
I like to think of it as borrowing someone's car and driving it better than them.
