Honest answer. I have no idea, I'd be worried about what I might find on youtube if I search.

The biggest hurdle for people that are good at drawing/sketching/writing on paper is can control. Being able to 'float' the can without resting your hand on the surface is what throws most people off.

That was a very 'oblique' question sorry Nik...I mean a how-to as in the layering...where to start etc. I haven't done any 'built-up' type art at all previously.

I have my own 'Style' of UPPERCASE printcursive, . It started way back when Dad used to write up Horse name tickets for the betting boards of old...he was very good at it. Fast/Legible/Stylish. I idolised my old man back then, so tried and tried to copy his work.
I write like I'm captioning a graffic novel...sort of.
