Mine is to buy these
http://cgi.ebay.com....r...A1|240:1318

and make them fit my car, since genuine RS items for G1S1's are rare

Next is to buy tristains exhuast, mainly for the headers, well probably just the headers, anyone know if they fit a g1?

Its a fair whack of work to get those skirts to fit mate. I'm pretty sure they're too short. And the lip from the bar wont fit the G1S1. Twitstains extractors will fit, but the exhaust wont. Better off getting a custom 2.25' mandral bend exhaust anyway.

I like where you're heading, but yeah, it'll be a b*tch to fit! Have you had a look on import monster for parts? Double check that the headers will fit. It was my understanding that they only fit on the Gen2 NA's (ex RX) and the Gen3 NA's.

No they fit gen1's. But they wont match up to the G1S1 standard exhaust system. But meh. Custom ftw.

No like extending about 30mm.... Just get a full custom exhaust. $600 will do it easy as piss. less if you match it up to the existing muffler.

sorry

Yer over wrx kit already lol

i ment for your guess/estimate of $600 if that was for a complete custom exhuast ie: custom made headers, or the exhuast after the headers tristan has, i guess a catback with a new cat.

Yeah, everything south of the extractors. To sumerise. Get Twitstains Extractors (I wouldnt pay much, if anymore than $100 for them) and then a complete custom exhaust. new cat will cost anywhere between $200 and $400. A metal substrate Hiflo cat is really going to be a waste of your money. Seems as though you just want a nice note, and general purpose multi-fit cat will serve you well enough. Just make sure its the same diameter as the rest of the exhaust system, Perhaps even go 0.5" bigger to compensate for the lack of flow.

T-man wants 200 for them... but when he reads this and takes pitty on me... :P I currently have a 2.25" diff back as it is what was on the muffler, so i was thinking go that, Most people say 2" is big enough, my goal isnt power its sound, so maybe 2.25" which in theory should deepen the sound, and "shouldnt" loss power. IMO all the gen1 NA's i've heard sound wimpy, maybe its somthing else but meh last quote i got was about $300 for a hiflow cat, but the dewd sed about $300 for any cat. ebay has cats from between 100-300 which may be an option, used to have xforce ones cheap but can't seem to find them.

i looked into it a while back

probably wouldnt be too hard

Problems i come up with was bending the pipe as we dont have a pipe bender that i know of, i guess i could go to local exhuast shop and get it bent

At the time we didnt have any gas for our welder, but i think dad got some not too long ago

I'll probably just get a new catback with the cat
