I have 3 lighting/wiring/globe problems

Hey guys have moves out and currently have no Internet so sadly haven't been on here much lately =[
Anyway.. I have a gen2 liberty sedan rx billy.

1.Does anyone know about the rear fog lights? Mine don't work but in saying that there is no switch for them but the globes are there how can I get them working it seems to be wired up as standard ???

2. My reverse lights are PATHETIC any suggestions on some super bright globes. I tried some shitty eBay ones which wore the same as standard if not worse even though advertised as SUPER BRIGHT LED

3. My climate control doesn't light up at all anywhere I can get the globes ?

Have check ALL FUSES all are fine and working

Thanks in advance for all and any help.
Cheers Dan

For the reverse lights you're probably going to want a globe that's something like this

I believe the rear fog lights arent wired in as standard in the Liberty as we dont really need them. Ive seen a DIY on how to wire them into the brake lights but i think it was on OzLiberty which doesnt exist anymore

Ha that was my DIY. Should probably find the pics and make one here. Was pretty useful back in the day when everyone had gen 2's!

I was gonna say it was yours, but couldn't remember. It applied to Gen 3's as well.

I like to think of it as borrowing someone's car and driving it better than them.

Cheers I might give those reverse globes a try.
There similar to the ones I tried but twice as expensive so surely that means twice as good =P

Is it hard to wire them up to a switch of its own.
My 2000 wrx was like that from factory
would like to have it set up the same if possible.

Sorry we're talking about the rear foglights...

I did a DIY on how to wire them up as extra brake lights. They're too bright for extra tails.

Do NOT wire up the rear fog lights as fog lights.

They will reduce the ability of other drivers to notice your brake lights.
They will piss off other drivers who will kill you with fire.
They will attract the attention of the Police who will fine you.

You may struggle to find LEDs that will output enough light to improve your reverse lamps a noticeable amount.
Are the lenses clean on the inside and the reflectors in good condition?

It applied to Gen 3's as well.

I did a GenIII DIY on OzLib off the back of Morg's GenII DIY. :)

If I told you I was a compulsive liar, would you believe me?

Gen 2 reverse lights are just useless :)

Get better eyes :P

The Cree style LEDs seem pretty bright but I haven't purchased them yet.

When you say climate control doesn't light up, do you mean just the buttons underneath or the display screen as well. Because you can get replacement globes for behind the buttons but im unsure about the screen

I just got some ebay-spec ones.. see if they're any good. Then when they die in a month, get some proper ones :)

Adam I'd love better eyes but laser eye surgery is $5000 I've heard =P

Mitch sorry yeah it's just the buttons that don't light up the display is fine =D

Stocky which globes did you buy? Keen to see a comparison picture of stock and eBay globes and if there any good ill get some. Really frustrates me how pathetic mine are.

Nah, just bought them this morning. I'll get back to you in a few weeks when they arrive, haha. If they work alright, I'll grab a real set. I have normal led's in my reverse lights already, they're alright, but could be better.

Yeah, proper non-ebay spec globes.
