Anyone know the part number for the timing belt kit. My parts out let was very vague and couldn't give me a direct answer even though I gave him the vin number and everything
Also dose anyone know what is ment to come in the kit it self? I think I'm goring to need a new tensioner as well. Subaru quoted me $1200 including parts and labour and said the tensioner is leaking because there's oil coming out of the timing cove just above the harmonic balancer.

Also is replacing the Tensioner bracket recommended?

Shoot kris at www.risingsunsubaru.com.au an email :)

His kits are $450 (maybe more for the turbo models) genuine Subaru.
This includes belt, oil crank seal, idlers, and tensioner.

You'll also wanna change:
water pump
Water pump gasket
Thermostat
Thermostat seal
Cam seals

It would be pretty stupid 2 use use anything but genuine when it comes to timing belts.

Chris would be the cheapest around

Parts guy is a retard then.

If you can do the timing belt you can undo the 6 or 7 10mm bolts that hold the water pump on.

Also if you can change the oil crank seal you can change the cam seals cause their the same.

+1 for the service manual! Step by step instructions that tell you exactly what to do.

Will there be enough room to do all this by removing just the fans or dose the radiator have to come out as well?

I reckon its easier to pull the radiator out.

When the water pump comes out you'll loose the coolant anyway

Not to mention i think its more Posted Image'ing around to pull the fans off compared to the radiator off.

Would it be cheaper to buy the kit and get it done by someone then to just get it done by someone straight away?

Wanting to buy/looking for: single genuine STi rim, genuine STi front lip, Corazon or Zero/Sports grille and another OEM grille

Can you hook a brother up? Please contact me now. I have cash ready.
