Hey Guys,

I replaced a gauge globe the other day, but the globe i put in wasnt silver dipped like the other, so it appears brighter than the rest. Has anyone got a fix for this? I can't seem to find them on ebay or anything.

It's a T10 globe.

Cheers!

IIRC, the 4 main illumination lights are T10, and the rest of the lights such as blinkers, ABS, etc are T5.

Hey Shaz,

Yeah they are t10 behind the dash for the wedges. Don't know if you have tried the LED's but are they really bright? My dash looks like this at the moment and call me dumb but it is really annoying. Posted Image

Yeah definitely go back to halogens. LEDs are crap.

Youre gonna have a bad time with hotspots. T10 globes, you can buy them anywhere! Even service stations sell them.

Yeah i do, At one off dimest though, it is still brighter than the silver dipped at full. I think ill colour in the tip with silver marker and see if it works this weekend.

I like the halogens as long as they dont make the bright spots like this. I just didnt want them so bright, I am going to try and colour them in or spray it with something and see how that goes.

Yeah definitely tone them down somehow either with marker, spray paint or window tint film.

You can also sand LEDs a little to make them opaque and improve light spread.
