I was looking up the Spec-R STI Seats, you know the ones with that nice material.

I stumbled upon a link where a company did a whole interior in it. Personally I really like how it looks, and I bet it feels great, what do others think?

Sample Pic, and article below:

Is that material suede? It'd be hard to maintain, no? Harder then leather anyway I reckon... It does look amazing though.

Wanting to buy/looking for: single genuine STi rim, genuine STi front lip, Corazon or Zero/Sports grille and another OEM grille

Can you hook a brother up? Please contact me now. I have cash ready.

Mate has suede in his car.
He says, worst choice. It's extremely difficult to keep it looking clean. (when the suede is brushed one way, it doesn't look right)

I think it's called 'flocking' on the solid/harder parts.

2002 Outback - it's gone...

That looks shit hot. For a show car.
However, consider the following for australian daily drive considerations.

As mentioned before - Food/drinks. This stuff stains easily, and is hard to get things off.
Sunlight. The black dash will fade VERY quickly in the aussie sun. And I imagine it will not be cheap to re-trim it every 2 years. Not to mention it will fade the top of the dash moreso than the front of it, looking like a grayscale photo after a while.

Great for a show car, that lives in a shed most of its life, but not the best for a daily. Thats why most companies avoid the use of fabrics on major dash pieces. It costs more to trim, and after a few years the interior looks vasty different to what it did when it came out of the factory, reducing resale value.

But dont get me wrong. That does look great.

MY00 Red RX, a nice daily that was sold off once the B4 became reliable...
MY02 Blue B4, aka 'The Project' - v8 JDM STi engine package and assorted other 'goodies' - Sold, then bought back for parts. Stripped and crushed.
MY03 Blue RX, the newer old daily, pretty well more B4 than RX now... In the process of being converted to the track toy... Watch this space!
MY02 Silver Wagon, H6 conversion, full blue/black leather and almost full black interior to go with it.
MY03 White/Silver H6 Outback, donor car for silver waghoon.
MY97 Silver RX, acquired to become track car, but plans changed. To be stripped and scrapped in time.

I used Redline for my leather gear boot in the Outback. Great quality gear!

Hi,

Oooh. I hate to thread jack, but nice one Morgs.

I think I might order h/brake boot and arm rest. Two tone alcantara (black/charcoal) is only $164 delivered. With brown leather piping to match the gravel dust in my car.

How hard is the arm rest to install?

Cheers,
Nik
