Exhaust diff back

I bought an STI diff back exhaust about a year ago of morgs...fitted it onto my car (bugeye sedan) this arvo after some grinding and welding to make it fit as it was off his Foz. We fitted it to the car...it sounds awesome. However, the tip of the exhaust sits about an inch and a half to two inches out of the bumper...do you guys reckon I should do another cut and reweld to make it fit flush with bumper? Is it a problem having it sticking out a little..thoughts? It's gotta come of the car anyway for a fresh lick of paint and fix a hole near the new flange we welded on.

Hey dude sorry just got your msg.
Won't be illegal or anything - just may get annoying if you keep bashing your leg on it when walking around the car...!
I remember our old VS Commodore's exhaust tip stuck heaps far out and that was stock! Was always knocking it haha. Welding the hangers forward slightly will fix that up.
Is the leak still from that original weld? I didn't notice it when it was on the XT so should be find. Just weld it up when you've got it off the car next
We're leaving on Monday but when I'm back, so keen to check it out

Na we fixed all the holes up remember how we bought that new flange it was just a leak from welding that on, yeah adjusting the hangers and taking another 1 and half inches out will fix it...lick of paint and it will b good. Sounds like a beast. At least if the car ain't fast it can sound like it means business. Ha. Cheers dude looking forward to catching up when ya get back for a suby day or something. Enjoy your travels. Live dangerously
