hey guys couldnt seem to find anything on this, just wondering if wrx 4 pots are the same as sti ones, i ordered some rotors for my car and the part for my car ended up being the smaller 260mm ones, which confused me cause i thought wrx all came out with 4 pot fronts, but my car has the 294mm rotors on it, and according to dba theyre sti.. 

i thought all 4 pots were the same? unless dba has just made a silly mistake. doesnt really matter just been bugging me and i wanna work it out, cheers

Pretty sure the older ones didn't come with 4 pots. Still not sure what the go with yours is though.

yes wrx & wrx sti had the same 4 pots until bugeye sti's, wrx only got 4 pots around 99 - 00.
294 mm front discs with all 4 pots unless brembo's fitted.

nah mate not all wrx had 4 pot fronts. your car (MY98 WRX) would have originally had 2 pot fronts with the STI getting the 4 pots (MY99 & 00 WRX also got 4 pots like the STI. GD WRX all had 4 Pots standard and the STI was upgraded to Brembos)
 
i think what's happened is you've ordered disks for your "standard" 2 pots not actually for the 4 pots which the last owner probably upgraded to. did you order the rotors by telling them what car you had or what brakes you were running?

Oh okay. I see. I thought they came out with 4 pots. But yeah. Makes sence now. Cause theyve ordered the 98 rex ones. And there obviously for 2 pots. So previous owner must of upgraded them. Cheers guys

The ones with the red paint make your car go faster.

Sounds about right, mine are black and my car is slower.

haha yeah. that must be why my cars faster matt maybe its slowing down cause the paints peeling off haha
