The new generation of the Subaru Legacy has been spied testing in Michigan.

Set to receive a sleeker profile with a sloping roofline, the all-new Legacy will have sweptback headlights and a more aggressive front fascia, while at the back the taillights should borrow some of design cues seen on the jaw-dropping WRX Concept showcased earlier this year at New York Auto Show.

All-wheel drive and a hybrid version are in the works for the new Legacy which will be revealed sometime next year as a 2015MY. Despite the heavy camouflage, we already can tell the all-new Legacy will be a looker and hopefully photos with prototypes wearing less makeup will arrive soon.

Looking better than the current Gen V.

Wanting to buy/looking for: single genuine STi rim, genuine STi front lip, Corazon or Zero/Sports grille and another OEM grille

Wow this one looks good even with the Camo.

I'm also not a fan of the GENV's but this is looking better.

Hard to tell but definitely looks a nicer shape than the Gen5.

I really hope they get the design right this time. The styling really let the Gen5 down IMO. Was a good car apart from that.

Lets hope they retain manual options with the turbo models (UNLIKE the new Forester XT) and keep a normal auto box instead of the CVT's.

Hopefully they are making changes to the design language. From what i can see, looks like it will have elegant styling cues rather than the boxy squished look of the Gen5. Hopefully sans the stupid headlight shape of the current Foz and Impreza

Still far too much height in the windows/middle. I'd say it will be on the same chassis/platform as the Gen5 to cut costs. Front end looks promising though.
