So now my car is running, I have noticed some things I don't like.

 

As I was trying to keep my car stock, the intake and BOV noise is very loud and gives away the conversion....

 

When I acc. I can hear the pod sucking air like a jet engine and when I release I get a really loud PSST! lol

 

Is there anyway to make the POD quiter? Or is this just what happens with FMIC, POD and aftermarket BOV?

What type of pod do you have mate?

 

Its just a no name one, So I was wondering if that might be why. Maybe if I buy a branded one?

The only way I can go back to the standard airbox is to go TMIC..... Or maybe some custom piping that will allow it to fit

mate any pod with that set up is going to do the same thing. standard air box is pretty much the only thing that will quiet it down

Yep is the pod.
I have stock air box and i don't even hear my Bov
My mate has a standard bov but a hks pod and it is insane how loud it is. We can't shut it up lol

You could always box in the pod with some perspex or aluminum then run an air feed into it if you have enough room... Wont be as loud but it will quieten it down a bit...

 

My brother was having the same problem with his setup on his evo so he enclosed the pod and psst wasnt as loud...

Same Bov as mine... Good unit Chris, i like that Enclosed box! might need to make me one of those as mine is a bitch with the current panel filter and the Silicone intake pipe :@

I think he just coated some scrap mdf we had lying around with a layer of fiberglass and the top is just thin aluminium from bunnings...

All painted with black hammer finish

It's not too much effort to bash a letter box with a bat, but you are probably right.

I spoke to my bro he said that was just the template... covered it with aluminium foil then with blue painters tape and 3 layers of fiberglass
