I would personally never let Strathfield touch my car. Ever.

I like to think of it as borrowing someone's car and driving it better than them.

Lol pulling a Jovi?

Also, I'd recommend buying a steering wheel control adaptor so you can continue to use them.

If you source all the stuff yourself, I can ask my mate who lives up your way. He's done my entire sound system and some guys on here are impressed :P

Always get it done yourself or by someone you know. I can't believe they'd charge you a little under $3,000 for that.

Wow.

I've installed sound systems in many cars, but never in a Subaru. Not sure whether I'd want to attempt this not knowing EXACTLY what to do. Sorry man.

What's your issue with the McIntosh system?

I can understand replacing the headunit. But the rest of it sounds good. I'm sure when your done it will be louder and maybe sound better but $3000 better??

I discovered this the the Gen3's McIntosh as well, it's a decent system, and if I had paid attention when changing over speakers, I probably would have just sound deadened the doors instead.

As soon as she hands it to you, slowly take of your pants, then, while staring her straight in the eyes rub it against the tip of you penis, while continuing your painfully intense gaze whisper to her;

I should just convert to single, right?

I liked my stock system until the front speakers blew. Going to fix it eventually. For now its fixed by changing the balance to the rear :P I am noticing more road noise with mine since driving dads Honda around a lot. I know its older but maybe sound deadening the doors would help.

I think I need to put that on my to do list as well... Sound deadening seems to be a way to go. Does it weigh much for Dynomat for example?

Not really. Plus you can always talk them down.

JB are fine.

Ryda in Parramatta are also good value. www.ryda.com

Once you've bought the headunit, buy a harness off this guy to make your steering wheel controls work. I've got harnesses from him in both the Subaru and the Calais.

yo fellas

Ive ben told you can just put a aux cable throuh the already excisting macintosh unit ? and the add the amp/sub ? which would be ideal because i like the "stock" look of the interior?

any ideas or anyone who has done this? got quoted $350.0 installed?
