Hey SC
Do you reckon $350 for a set of wrx 17's with only one good tyre is a good deal?
very little gutter rash.
I was thinking more around the $250-300 mark, with crap tyres on it.

Overpriced. Offer him $200, He'll punch back with $300, You'll punch back with $250 firm because there is cheaper out there. And if he doesn't accept that, Hang up the phone.

I paid 400 for 4 with brand new achilles tyres. So anywhere between 400 - 700 with good rubber is what ive seen. Id say 250 - 300 for basically rims only is a good deal

The ad is very recent so ill let him go for a bit, save up some money and then make an offer. I thought he might have wanted a bit much.
Plus ill be looking at what? 500 bucks for a set of good tyres

They were advertised for 500, offered him 450 then he said take em for 400 lol. Must've really wanted to get rid of them
That being said achilles arent amazing tyres but ive had no issues with them

$350 is a bit rich. Definitely under $300 with crap tyres.

I just found some brand new ku31's for
105 each, tempted to jump on that offer before I even get the rims.
What size are the KU31's?

Is that the general size for subaru 17's?
If I brought those tyres I don't want to be stuck with them if I changed my mind on the rims I wanted. Still will be subaru 17 inch wheels though
Correct. I have 215/45/17 on my WRX wheels.
From memory thats the general size for Subaru 17's

I have KU39's and I think they're awesome.
Jump onto Kumho's website, you can find all the information there.
Though, it's pretty much as follows
GRIP. (1 being the grippiest)
1. KU36
2. KU39
3. KU31
LIFE (1 having the longest life)
1. KU31
2. KU39
3. KU31
I think the KU36's would be overkill for yourself. (including for me as well)
Use http://www.stgeorgetyres.com.au as your pricing guide. (have your local tyre reseller price match)
You won't find a better price.
Eg. KU31's you found for $105
St George have them for $101 (in your size)
