Hey guys,

This has been happening for a while, but it stopped for a couple of weeks and has started back up again today.

So basically, when I start the car -

  • Takes a few attempts to kick over
  • Starts shuddering when it does start, like it's going to die
  • Goes "normal", but idles at around 1100rpm
  • If I turn it off and on again, it'll start straight away, but will still idle at around 1100rpm

This all stops and returns to normal, if I give the accelerator a tap. However sometimes, when I tap the accelerator, it'll lag/delay for a second and then the revs shoot up ..

It stopped recently, after I switched down to 95, after always having 98 in it. But, it's doing it now whilst I'm on 95.

I'm guessing something fuel related?

Cheers

vacuum leak

Perform upper engine clean and test for vac leaks.

Probably intake manifold gaskets as once warm things expand and gaps close. . But not always. .

I had a similar issue like yours but not as severe as yours but i could never get my B4 to start first go and allways would shudder when tapping the gas peddle

All it was a dead fuel injector.
So I would defiantly take em out and have me checked over and cost next to nothing like 20 bucks per injector to have em checked and cleaned and new o rings.

It cleared up for a bit...

I got the Water Temp sensor replaced and now it's back.

Maybe I need a ECU reset?
