Hey guys,

As title says..

I've thrown bulbs, fuses, relays and even a new combo switch (thanks again Bosskong) at them and nothing is working..

However they still flash when locking/unlocking the car.

I've done an impedance test on the switches to check both were working fine.

Multimeter tests show I'm getting 6v from the wire that goes to the module, but 0v from the fusebox wires.

Relay is working, I can hear it clicking when I use the indicators/hazards..

Dash has not been out recently..

Would anyone have any idea what could be going on?

I really need to drive my car, but don't wanna risk getting pulled up for not indicating..

Cheers!

Hazard switch.

Combo feeds hazards before the lamps.

Most cars the indicators won't work if the hazard switch is unplugged.

Alarm would be wired in after the hazard switch.

It shouldn't be unplugged... I haven't pulled the dash out.

So, the hazard switch has failed?

That would be my guess.

Okay.

I should've also mentioned that it failed over time, sorry. Would it do be that too? The switch just failed over time?

I.e. I had indicators for about 50% for a little while and then bam! All gone..

Yo Sam, maybe your hazard switch was on its way out while the indicators were failing over time, so your hazards were intermittently working for a while... and then died.

Checked the switch, it's plugged in fine haha.

Will do an impedance test.

Do you mean the Hazard / turn signal module?

Anyone know where the unit/module is located?

In a Gen IV its under the dash, next to the fuse box and its a beige colored box with about 8 wires. Not accessible through the fuse panel cover.

You have a Gen IV right?

RIGHT?

Go pull your Gen 3 apart and tell me where :P

Go pull YOURS apart and tell ME where it is.

I looked in the Gen3 w/shop manual. Tells me it has 3 wires but not the location.

IIRC it will be near the fuse box. They usually have 'turn module' or '4x21w' or even 'made in Japan' on them.

That's what I'm doing!

I know. It's useless for this.

I'm trying to listen for the clicking .. but it's hard when you gotta do it manually.

It's on top of the steering column to the left hand side - PITA to get too.
