gen 3 liberty water pump help

Hey guys i hav noticed that my water pump has coroded on the bottom an is leaking i want to know how hard it is for me to do an if there is a diy page on it?

The water pump is driven by the cam belt, so you need to remove the cam belt to get it off.

It is a good few hours job, maybe 3 - 4 hours, if it's your first subi cam belt / water pump job.

There is a gen 3 link page somewhere that has links to the service manual.

 

It would be a good idea to change the cam belt while apart, unless you know when done last time.

Plus have a good look at the idler pulleys and the belt tensioner.
