This will fit my 03 gen3 won't it? It's probably the cheapest ultrex style one I've seen. About $110 incl shipping

From what I've read the ultrex ones sometimes need the ends cut off and/or some heat work..
I'd rather less of that since usually when it comes to me and doing things like that I stuff up hahah no matter how hard I try. But I'm prepared to give it a go rather than spend $200+ for a genuine one

Both the 03-05 and 06-07 sti lip fit the gen3 bumper. Both are different designs and both need customising to fit

06-07 needs the ends cut. Not 100% if 03-05 needs cutting but does need other things done like drilling new holes etc

So I'd be better off going 06-07 then?

Hmmm I just don't know if I'd rather be drilling new holes (relatively unseen/easy) or cutting (have to respray?/might be dodgy)
But for half the price and all I'd say the 06-07 is probably the way to go..
Cheers Mosti
Hope this helped racerX too!

Customise simply means centering the lip with the bumper and gradually secure it using self tapping screws...I used cable ties through existing holes to help hold the lip up under the bumper. The lip has enough surface area for you to choose whether you want it to sit mostly under the bumper or stick forward about an inch or so.

And then saw off the excess lip in the wheel guards. i didnt use a heat gun to mould the lip as I dont mind how it looked after the mounting.

Not too sure if I like how it flattens towards the centre
It looks good, but I think on my car I want it a bit different
Sounds like the 06-07 is easier to install though..

Scratch that half the price bit, it didn't calculate shipping for here, so it's actually more expensive for the 06-07 by about $40
Now I don't know what to do hahah
