I should hopefully get the last of my xmas shopping done today.

I have only finished shopping for my sister... Jess, her mum, dad and brother, my mum, dad, two brothers, grandparents and godparents remaining.

Aussie families rule. Wog families are just too much. If I had to buy for every single one of my family members, and I mean close family like cousins, aunts and uncles, I'd be bankrupt.

I have only started buying stuff for them over the last few years.... will only be spending small amounts on people.. Will buy for parents, siblings, and one set of aunty and uncle because they always get me something. Mum will give a gift to my grandparents that will be from all of us... so don't need to worry about them.

I've kinda taken on that tactic when it comes to birthdays and specific events too Josh. I'll give mum the money from Jess and I and she'll get something together as a family. It always works so much better and mum tends to know exactly what everyone wants at any given time.

I did know that Gary because I watched one of those how it is made shows the other day and they showed teams of people in Portugal stripping the bark off a bunch of trees to send it to the factory and have the corks punched out of it.

Pretty cool hey? I only knew about it a year or so ago. I thought our main export was gonna be something to do with wine or another alcoholic beverage. Gotta love the EU. Each country has its own select set of exports and no other country in the EU can export it. I guess it works well and helps Europe as a whole. Or it might be the main factor as to why they're in such strife.

Not surprised, watching it they were saying that someone inexperienced could easily kill a tree when removing the bark.. and most of the trees on the plantation take 9 years before the bark is ready to be harvest again... if they were to clear the whole plantation then they would be without cork for ages.

I did know that Josh! My parents are originally from Madeira, an island off the coast of Portugal. The first time I flew over I tripped out at the amount of Eucalyptus trees that were there! I noticed a similar smell when we drove through the forests and when we stopped we were shocked to find Eucalyptus trees there! HUGE ones at that. It was so surprising. I thought Eucalyptus trees were native to Australia only.

The same shit is happening in the majority of European countries. Greece is up shit creek and I'm pretty sure is the worst at the moment though.
