Listening to Bill Shorten rabbling on about how the Abbott government not doing anything about the Holden shutdown.

 

Didn't Kevin Rudd remove the FBT which could have actually helped at least stop this from happening?

 

I dunno, if politicians from all parties stopped pointing the finger and blaming each other, maybe things might actually get done.

My thoughts Ash are that neither Government is really to blame in the Holden shutdown... the fact is that it was just too expensive to build a product that was dying sales wise, FBT changes would have negatively impacted on the volume of Commodores sold had they been introduced however they were not and a lot of fleet companies had started to move away from Holden/Ford for the fleet anyway... All in all it comes down to them building a product that less and less people wanted to purchase.
