I'll be off to Sanctuary Point/Jervis Bay soon for a party at my uncles holiday house where all my cousins are getting together to spend the New Year. Wog food, huge amounts of alcohol, open space, feeding kangaroos from the balcony, the beach, etc, are all within walking length. I CANNOT WAIT!

 

I'm doing this. All family but as it's cousins, it'll definitely be partying it up for the entire afternoon, night and morning.

 

My cousin's birthday is on the 1st of January as well so it'll be more festivities that night.

I know about the civil unrest occurring over there, but apparently from what I've been told by people who travel there often is that the country is always under civil unrest. You only hear a lot about it now because it is the holiday season and so many people are going there... We'll definitely be watching each other's backs though as there is a total of six of us going. All guys and best of mates. We should be fine so long as we are aware and don't put ourselves in the wrong places at the wrong times.

 

Most of where we are going is for tourists or where a lot of tourists are located/go. Shouldn't be a problem. Thanks for the heads up man.

Yeah, Gary, they are not wrong. Fiji was much the same, but they did elevate the level due to the election coming up, as long as you're mindful of it and not burning Walt Disney effigy's in the street you'll be right. 

Also, while unrest is not uncommon, the fact it's resulting in deaths of foreigners is a bit more concerning.

So, I failed at buying the roof top tent because I got lost in the rabbit warren kent new satellite suburb the seller lived in...rang them twice for verbal directions...got loster both times. Ended up getting the shits and bailing Was $700 firm, now $600 if gone today...gonna send a mate around I think
