Hey guys
So I'm having an odd thing happening with my Lib, so when I'm coming to change gear, let go of accelerator to get onto clutch but say i was sitting at just 3000 rpm it keeps accelerating till half of the 3000 rev range and then comes down
Is this a common problem or is something wrong??

Hi,

It is what regulates the idle revs of your engine. Perhaps it is needing attention/replacement.

Cheers,

Nik

Hi,

I think a common way to test if that's the fault is to disconnect it, but I'm not confident enough to tell you to do that.

Someone clever will be along shortly!

I'm assuming it's not throwing a CEL?

Cheers,

Nik

On my phone so can't see your car but check the vac line connecting to the fuel pressure ref on the driver side fuel rail.

Also is this with a/c on or off or both?

Probably find this is vac line related.
The iacv wouldn't really lift the revs on throttle close.

Does it really gain revs or just sit high for ages?

Next time it does it. Try tapping the brake. Just enough to use some brake booster pressure. If the revs drop immediately. . Vac issue for sure.
